Established in September 2012 at Puerto Princesa Palawan by Owner Engr. Ana Lustre Malijan, Frotea started as a FroYo (Frozen Yoghurt) and Milk Tea store concept, hence the slick name ”Frotea”. Frotea is created to offer delightful drinks that just fits into anyone’s unique lifestyle. Whether you’re a student on a budget, a generous young professional, or just on the way to major adulting, the prices of our authentic Taiwanese milk teas are irresistibly affordable for people from all walks of life, served at our very cozy stores through heartfelt customer service.

At the hype of froyos and milk teas, standing out against booming competition is a critical direction for Frotea. To withstand fad, Engr. Ana and her team decided to focus the brand’s offering on their strongest product – milk teas – and went to formal training with international suppliers to upkeep quality standards and lower costs, which most competing brands tend to neglect. By 2019, Frotea started importing its ingredients directly from Taiwan. Its full-service local commissary can accommodate big volume to save on importation costs, consequently keeping the SRPs low and the product logistics and supply chain strong.
With the milk tea lifestyle becoming more embedded with our customers’ lifestyle, Frotea launched a new look depicting a “lighter and more vibrant feels” on its branding. The revamp on its cozy store ambience, color palette, comfy couches and furnishings, brand mascots Poppo and Bobba, all advocates for a true millennial milk tea lifestyle.
With its proven success, Frotea made a strong appeal among aspiring franchisees in and outside Palawan. To date, Frotea has 16 stores – 10 Franchised-Owned and 6 Company-Owned and continuous to grow via franchising with the help of Francorp Philippines, a global franchise consultancy firm.
